▶ RETROCOMPUTING CORNER
First C64 in 1987. Amiga 500 in 1989. Amiga 1200 in 1993, followed by a Blizzard MK IV 030/50MHz in 1994. Friends had ZX Spectrums and MSX machines. Witnessed both the alpha and beta of the original Doom running on a mighty 80386sx/33MHz — that was something else.
The brand lives on: Perifractic (Christian Simpson) acquired Commodore International Corporation in 2025, bringing original Commodore UK personnel back into the fold. Proper community ownership at last.
Current setup:
- 2× Amiga 500 (working)
- Commodore 64 (working)
- Emulated systems via various emulators
- SCUMMVM — for those amazing LucasArts adventures
Wanted: Amiga 1200 at a bargain price. Offers welcome.
